Cooking means dishes.

The last assignment in the sketchbook school’s course, Beginning, taught by artist Tommy Kane, is to take 3 hours to draw — in ink — and paint you kitchen.
My lines are wonky. My colors are a bit off.

I will revisit this assignment when I am better at perspective.

Zentangle are miniature abstract works of art, a collection of patterns not meant to represent anything.
There are no mistakes in zentangle, no need for erasers. Anything is possible, one stroke at a time.
Zentangle are usually done in pen. I used this set to practice tones in graphite.

From time to time— once a month or so — I like to draw my week.
Before I go to bed each night for the week, I draw something from my day.
The completed page becomes a look at my week.
Here are my two most recent attempts.

These three groups of Artists Trading Cards were mailed to Nevada, California and Scotland last week.

Artist trading cards are 2 1⁄2 by 3 1⁄2 inches (64 mm × 89 mm) in size, the same format as modern trading cards such as sports or game cards. They are self-made unique works or small series, signed and dated on the reverse by the artist/producer, exchanged and collected by other people.
If you’d like to receive cards from me, leave me a comment.
Have you ever really looked at a piece of toast?

Before bed still life.
